I need some ideas for this.?

For a paper, I have to respond to a very recent published argument or problematic situation. It has to be from 2010. I was thinking about the whole thing about Obama wanting to reduce the drop out rate, but my teacher denied my request (Who knows why?). I was wondering if anyone has some ideas as to something I could write on now that I was rejected?
