In 20 years from now, will the south be the new north?

I looked at the population of the metropolitan areas of many cities around the U.S. and cities like Atlanta, Dallas, and Houston are growing around 25% each year while northern cities such as New York, Philly, Boston, etc. are growing about 5%. So i was just wondering because of all the people moving to the south, do you expect cities like Atlanta, Dallas,or Houston to eclipse cities up north like philly, boston, and maybe even new york one day?
