Info on the effects of Bisphenol A (BPA)?

My son is now 16 month old and off the bottle. But for the 1st 10 months of his life I used AVENT bottles which are the worst offenders of BPA content in their bottles. What should I do? Is my son destined to be sterile and have prostate cancer when he gets older? Is it too late to help reverse the damage done?? I'm mortified to find out these bottles are still being sold after all I've just read.
